Talkback
Gray | 6/3/2010 12:26:47 PM | Hi. My name is Gray Camp and my girlfriend and I are huge fans of you
guys. One day a year or two ago we were walking down Franklin St.
heading home after dinner, and we happened to hear some blue grass
flowing out of the Mansion and decided to step inside. What a great
decision. It was an amazing night and you guys brought a lot of energy
to a little crowd. We've seen you a few times since and it always
makes us happy to listen to your stories. We both love "Take me by the
hand". Anyways, my girlfriend Anne-Marie is turning 30 on Sunday and
we are coming to see you at Southern Village. She's from Kentucky and
she's bummed that she won't get to see her friends or family, so it
would be a nice surprise if you all could give her a special birthday
shout-out. It's OK if it doesn't fit in to the schedule, but I figured
I'd give it a shot. Good luck with everything and keep the music
coming!
Cheers,
-Gray

| Andrew B. | 10/14/2009 10:39:53 AM | I first heard you fellows at MerleFest this year. I’ve worked with the Boy Scout shuttle service the last 12 years, and this was the first time I remember them placing a stage at the welcome center. With our HQ located just behind that stage, I got to hear you boys a bunch. While I love bluegrass and folk music, I’ve never bought any CD’s of the performers during those 12 years…until I bought your two. Being raised in Wilkes County, NC, moonshine capital of the world, it’s no wonder I love Hillbilly Pop, Carolina Blues, and Red Piedmont Soil. I would also include in my top five Freight Train Ramblin’ and Take Me By the Hand. One thing that I really enjoy from your CD’s is that by changing the lead singer, it maximizes your vocal talents and helps set the mood for that song (ex. Freight Train Ramblin’ vs. Red Piedmont Soil). Over a month ago, I had to move from my home town to Greenville, SC. It shouldn’t be a surprise that I started to miss my family and friends. However, about a week ago, I was unpacking a box when I found your CD’s again. Now, whenever I listen to your music, it takes me back to that weekend at MerleFest. I hope ya'll can make it to MerleFest next year. Thank you gentlemen for your hard work, and I wish you the best. I can’t wait to hear what you come up with next. PS-I really loved the “old-school threads.”
